Robert

A frequent and popular speaker at EMS conferences nationwide, Robert has been involved in all levels of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for 22 years, working with both rural and urban services as a provider and educator.

He has a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Care from Western Carolina University, and a Master’s of Education, specializing in Adult Education and Training at Colorado State University, as well as a graduate certificate in online teaching and learning.

Active in the publication of EMS journal articles and textbooks, he has contributed to and reviewed numerous publications for all levels of provider, including serving as the associate editor for Paramedic Practice Today: Above and Beyond (Mosby, 2009). 

In addition to his medical and educational background, Robert has a background in technical rescue and has served on technical rescue and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams for several departments.
